My Fourth Payment

I just received my fourth payment! I earned $124.98. Today, I wanted to show you my earnings and Level Breakdown box so that you could see my progress. As you can see, I have earned $310.95 since March 25th. I currently have $1.95 toward my next check. (Current Earnings resets after you receive a payment.) I also earned a new award for earning $250.

I am really excited about a new money-making opportunity coming soon from PeopleString. It's called RewardString. I will have more information for you on that in the near future. In the meantime, if you haven't done so already, check PeopleString out for yourself. Membership is FREE and they actually pay you to use their site by sharing 70% of their ad revenue with their users! If you try it out and you don't like it, it's no loss to you; however, if you do like it, tell your friends. You earn money when they do!

My Third Payment & First Print Ad

I received my THIRD payment ($50.91) from PeopleString this morning! I have been paid a total of $184.02 so far!! Since joining PeopleString on March 25th, the site has grown and started offering more opportunities to earn money. I can't wait to see what they do next!

I am also very excited about my first advertisement! It was printed in a local coupon/advertisement magazine that reaches several communities in a neighboring county. I am hoping others will see the potential in PeopleString and start earning some extra money for themselves. If you still haven't signed up for your free membership, I strongly encourage you to do so TODAY!

Let the Guessing Begin

The popular PeopleString game, Guess Which Hand, has been updated. It is no longer a game simply for those who are willing to gamble their People Points. Just like People Lotto, Guess Which Hand now gives you multiple opportunities every day to win new People Points without the risk of losing any of your own. Guess which hand the quarter is in and, if you guess correctly, you will receive 30 People Points! You get a chance to guess and win every half an hour. What are you waiting for? Let the guessing begin!!

PeopleString Simplifies People Points

You may have noticed that your People Points balance looks lower than usual. This is because there is a new format for displaying the points. On the main page, only your current People Points are shown. The current points are those that you have earned since the last ad revenue payment. (Remember, PeopleString shares 70% of their ad revenue with their users!!)

Another new feature is the usage graph in the Tools section. You can see your PeopleString usage for the current month and compare it to prior months. Also available in the Tools section is your People Points lifetime total (your current points and your old points).

My Second Payment

I received my second payment from PeopleString today - $99.30!!! I have changed my payment method to direct deposit so I just happened to check my bank account this morning and there it was. What a way to start my day! :o)

I also have some active people in my String now. My friends know that I never try to get them to sign up for stuff so, when I started "pushing" PeopleString, they were curious. After trying it out for themselves, they have gotten into it too. When they earn money, I get a percentage of their earnings. It's pretty neat to log out of my account and log back in and see that my own earnings have grown! I already have over $45 earned toward my next check!!!

An exciting feature on PeopleString has been boosting everyone's earnings recently. The new Hot Deals page often has offers to simply watch a short commercial or movie trailer. Who else pays you to do that? PeopleString is just completely different from anything else I've seen. It really amazes me that membership is free, you get paid to use the site (through search/ad revenue), and you get money when your friends earn money!! There really is no reason for someone not to try it out. If you don't already have an account, join my String today!

Just the FAQ

PeopleString has updated their Frequently Asked Questions section. It includes great information about privacy, payments, e-mail features, how the search/ad revenue is determined, and much more. Check it out and share it with your downline today!

Also, don't miss Jackie's new tech blog. There is a link on the right side of your PeopleString home page. She just announced that a new way of displaying People Points will be in effect as of June 1st. It should help make things less confusing in terms of old versus new points. The new format will be similar to how your dollar earnings are shown because it will categorize your points into Current People Points and Lifetime People Points. After you are paid search/ad revenue on your current points, they will be moved to Lifetime and your Current will zero out.

Hot Deals! Get Your Hot Deals Here!

A new link to “Earn Some Fast Cash” has been added to the right-hand side of your PeopleString homepage (pictured below). It takes you to a Hot Deals page that highlights some of the top People Dollar offers and a few cash offers. There are even some short commercials and movie trailers that will pay you just to watch them!

On the top left-hand side of the Hot Deals page, there is an option to “Show Hot Deals at start”. If you check the box and click Save, this page will always be displayed when you first log in. It's a great way to remember to check out the new free offers. I earned $.73 this morning in a couple of minutes. I don’t have very many referrals yet but I have received $2.02 (and counting) from activities from my downline so far today!

Last Call to Upgrade Your Earning Potential

If you have been thinking about upgrading, now is the time to do it! The pioneering entrepreneurship program is closing! After May 16th, the option to upgrade will no longer be available. As a reminder, entrepreneur members earn 20% from their direct level referrals and 6% on levels 2 through 6; where as free members earn 5% and 2%, respectively. For more information on the difference between the two membership options, please read this blog post or view this video.

**Update: This option is no longer available. You can still join today as a free member!

You Have to Play to Win

PeopleString has given us a new way to WIN People Points! By playing People Lotto, you now have an opportunity to win up to 1000 People Points every four hours! This is in addition to the free daily spin on the Prize Wheel and the 50 People Points that you can earn every six-hour period.

Just click on the People Lotto icon (pictured above) on your PeopleString main page. When you match three prizes, you will win that prize amount. After you “scratch off” your first ticket, you’ll see a countdown timer that shows how long you have to wait before you get your next ticket. It seems like every ticket is a winner; therefore, you just have to play to win!!

You've Got Money...I Mean, Mail

When you first sign up for PeopleString, I encourage you to go to the Mailbox-Cashbox (MBCB) section and fill out the 30-question survey. After completing your survey, you should get a postcard in the mail (mine is pictured above) with a special code on the back. After receiving your code, go to the MBCB section and enter it in. This will make you eligible to receive offers from PeopleString’s marketing partners. The offers are based on your survey answers because most advertisers target certain demographics. You earn money just for reading the offers! You can choose whether you want to receive the offers through the mail, by e-mail, or both. You also can decide the amount you'd like to receive.

The program is in its infancy so you may or may not receive offers right away. This should not discourage you from having your referrals sign up. The more people we have in the program, the better the odds of landing a paid advertiser. Besides, you'll earn an easy $1.50 just for signing up! Each person who joins under you and does this will earn $1.50 too. When they do, you'll earn $.50 for the referral and a percentage of their $1.50!

The postcard should arrive three to four weeks after you complete the survey. If you do not receive it after waiting at least three weeks, you can send proof of residency (e.g., utility bill or driver’s license) to PeopleString. The fax number is (732) 741-2842. Their e-mail address is support@peoplestring.com. Make sure to include your PeopleString username.

**Right now, the postcard is only being mailed out to members in the US and Canada. PeopleString members residing outside of these two countries should still complete the survey. As soon as the program is available in their country, they will receive their postcard. In the meantime, the online portion of MBCB is available for most countries.**

Spin, Spin, Spin

All PeopleString members can now earn one free spin every day on the Prize Wheel! This is in addition to the free spin you earn for each referral. To receive your daily free spin, you just need to go to your Prize Wheel. After you have earned a spin, you must use it within 48 hours or it will expire. (It works the same as your "referral spins".) The prizes on the wheel vary from 20 People Points to $100. Good luck!!

You can access the Prize Wheel through the Play Games icon to the right of your Level Breakdown box.

The Word of the Day is CASH

If you have not yet visited the Cash-Back Shopping section on PeopleString, you should check it out today! You can earn money on things you already buy online by shopping with retailers who have a marketing agreement with PeopleString, such as Target, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Starbucks, and Wal-Mart. Each retailer has a cash percentage that they give you back just for shopping with them. That's right. You don't earn points. You earn cash! PeopleString is about to update the section to add even more online stores and make the section better. (To be sure you are getting the best deal, make sure to compare the rebates to the offers in the shopping tab in the People Dollars section.)

To receive your cash rebate, go to the Cash-Back Shopping section, find the store you want to shop with, and click the Shop Now button. There are no rebate forms to fill out! It is tracked automatically just by utilizing the link provided. Rebates typically appear in your account within two to three weeks.

I have personally shopped through the Cash-Back Shopping section with RedEnvelope.com and received my rebate (4%) when the items I ordered shipped. Someone in my downline ordered from Target.com and it took two weeks to receive her rebate (3.5%). Don’t forget to tell your referrals. When they shop and receive a rebate, you earn a percentage of it!

My First Payment

I received my first payment from PeopleString - $33.81!! You can click on the picture to see a larger view. You can also view Sam's first check! As you know, I joined at the end of March and I earned this check without having any referrals!

If you haven't done so already, check PeopleString out for yourself. Membership is free and they actually pay you to use their site by sharing 70% of their ad revenue with their users! I made it my home page so I'd remember to use it to do Google searches, access my frequently visited sites, and shop online (cash-back shopping). You can also do surveys and offers to earn money. Use it a lot or a little. Either way, you're earning money you wouldn't have earned otherwise.

As you can tell, I really like PeopleString. Sign up for your FREE account today! If you don't like it, it's no loss. If you do like it, tell your friends. You earn money when they do!

PeopleString - A New Favorite

I shared my blog on Facebook today! Until now, I really haven't talked about PeopleString with my friends because I wanted to look into it before sharing it. I really do enjoy what the String has to offer, though, so I'm hoping some of my friends will like it too.

Also, I finally edited my Favorites section. I have already been using PeopleString as my home page. Now that I am setting up all of my frequently accessed sites under the Favorites section, it has become a portal to more than just social networking sites and e-mail and instant messaging programs. It's great!

I'm not sure if everyone will have to do this or not but I have to hold down Ctrl when I click on a link in order to open the site in a new window. **Update** As Sam commented, you only have to do this the first time you use a link. After that, it opens in a new window automatically.

People Dollars & Scam Warning

If you want to "make some quick cash," you should check out the People Dollars section on PeopleString. 100 People Dollars are equal to $1 (e.g., if you complete an offer worth 102 People Dollars, you will receive $1.02 in your account). It really can add up fast! There are plenty of free offers, such as surveys, newsletter sign-ups, and games. There are also offers that reward you for enrolling in programs or services that you may already be considering, such as credit monitoring and satellite TV. If you're looking to purchase something, click on the shopping tab and earn People Dollars by spending a certain amount of money on a retailer's site (make sure to compare the offers to the rebates in the Cash-Back Shopping section). So definitely stop by the People Dollars section to see what's there! **I set up a junk e-mail address and a free voicemail account just for use when completing the offers. ;o)

The offers for People Dollars are NOT managed by PeopleString. The offers are operated through a 3rd party affiliation that generates the offers from all over the Internet. PeopleString simply aggregates them to one location in order for you to find them more easily.

If you do not receive People Dollars after completing an offer, allow some time for the offer to be processed. If you still do not receive your People Dollars, contact Offer Pal for assistance. There is a link in the section ("Missing People Dollars?") that you can utilize to report a problem. If you do not see your offer listed there, send an e-mail to support@offerpal.com.

Most offers pay within seconds of completion; however, different offers have different posting times and they are typically listed along with the offer. So far, I have only encountered missing People Dollars with a couple of quiz and game offers. When I complete one of those offers, I take a screen shot of the "results" page just in case I need to prove that I did it. With most offers, you will receive some sort of e-mail confirmation.

SCAM WARNING: There are a few links posted to get people to BUY People Dollars. You will see them listed amongst the offers and on the top of the People Dollars section. They charge more than the People Dollars are worth. I believe they are there to catch people that don't understand what People Dollars are. There is NO reason for someone to BUY People Dollars, especially at the rate they are charging! You EARN People Dollars in order to convert them into money! If someone wants to call anything a scam, this should be it...and this has nothing to do with PeopleString.

Free or "E"?

If you're thinking about trying out PeopleString, I'd suggest watching THIS video. It explains the different ways you can use the site, such as for use as a portal to your other social networking sites and/or as a way to make some extra money here and there.

I also suggest watching THIS video about why someone would choose the entrepreneur program over the free membership. I thought it covered the benefits fairly well and made logical comparisons of the two membership options.

To "E" or not to "E"...that is the question. ;o)

**Update: The entrepreneur program is no longer open. You can still join today as a free member!

More People Points, Please!

You can now earn up to 200 People Points a day by doing the "five things"! Instead of every 12-hour period, you can earn 50 points every six-hour period.

• 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. EST
• 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST
• 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST
• 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. EST

Check out Sam's .pdf for more details. To summarize, you earn 10 People Points for completing each of the following tasks: log in, utilize the Google search bar, check your PeopleString e-mail, check the Mailbox-Cashbox section, and visit the Cash Back Shopping section.

One Week

As of yesterday, I have one week as a free member of PeopleString under my belt! Can you guess how much I have earned in one week? Including the $1.50 that is pending from the Mailbox-Cashbox program, I have earned $27.17! Plus there are a couple of things I have not yet received People Dollars for. I am pretty excited to see that I have earned that much in JUST ONE WEEK without any referrals or people earning below me. I still haven't done anything that has required me to spend any money out of pocket. Also, on Thursday, I was excited to see that I had already received my first search/ad revenue payment. I haven't been on PeopleString very long but I earned $1.12.

Two of the offers I completed recently paid really well because they were ones where you can try something for a limited time period - "try free for seven days". It's the type of thing where you put a credit card on file in case you decide to stay on as a member after the trial (a.k.a. forget to cancel in time). If you do offers like this, I suggest using your credit card rather than your debit card. Typically, it's easier to dispute charges with a credit card company than with your bank. Also, cancel well before you have to in order to avoid forgetting about it or being "accidentally" charged.

Free versus Entrepreneur

Tonight, I want to go over what a free membership is and what an entrepreneur is on PeopleString. This is according to my own understanding from what I have experienced as a free member and what I have read about. I am considering the entrepreneur program as an option right now.
Free Membership - PeopleString is great for someone who wants a portal to their social networking sites, IM applications, google searches, online shopping and more. You can earn money through search/ad revenue, rebates, referrals, and offers in the People Dollars section. As a free member, you receive 5% of all of your direct referrals' earnings and 2% of everything from levels 2 through 6 (what your direct referrals' referrals earn). Free members get paid once a month. In order to receive payment, you must have earned at least $25.
Entrepreneur Program - For a limited time (the time limit is set by a number of entrepreneurs to hit rather than a specific date), PeopleString users are given the option to upgrade from being a free member to being an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are just like the free members except they are looking to build their membership into more of a business. They have upgraded communication features and benefits that are not available to free members. An entrepreneur may or may not use the site more than a free member but they will see more earnings due to the percentage difference that they make on their referrals and the tools and information provided to them. Also, entrepreneurs help the free members learn and earn, which also leads to more earnings for the entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurs receive 20% from their direct referrals' earnings and 6% from levels 2 through 6 (what their direct referrals' referrals earn); however, if they have any referrals that signed up under them before they upgraded to become an entrepreneur, they will always earn what free members earn on those specific referrals (5% and 2% rather than 20% and 6%)! The cost to upgrade is $200 and it covers two years. There are no monthly fees. Entrepreneurs get paid every two weeks. In order to receive payment, you must have earned at least $25.

The $200 upgrade seems worth it to me because it works out to be about $8.33 a month. It should be easy to make that back every month and then some. Just think about all the things you spend money on in any given month. This is an investment!

**Update: This option is no longer available. You can still join today as a free member!

Guess Which Hand

PeopleString has added a new way to accumulate People Points. I purposely didn't use the word "earn" because this new feature is actually a game! The game is called "Guess Which Hand" and I must warn you in advance that it's very addictive! You simply place a bet of 10, 25, 35, or 50 People Points and try to guess which hand the quarter is in. If you win, you win the amount that you bet. If you lose, you lose the amount that you bet. It seems to me that the quarter can be found in his right hand more often than the left. ;o)
**Update: Guess Which Hand has changed. You can play once every half an hour for a chance to win 30 People Points. You no longer risk your own points when playing.

PeopleString also has a Prize Wheel. You get a free spin on the wheel when you first sign up and when you refer someone. I also received a spin on the wheel because of a cell phone/Facebook survey that I completed in the Mailbox-Cashbox section. The prizes on the wheel vary from 20 People Points to $100. **Update: You can now earn a daily spin!

Learning the Ropes

I received my "landing site" link today from my friend, Sam, who I signed up under on PeopleString! :oD Today, I learned the difference between People Dollars and People Points.

  • People Points don't have a set cash value. You earn them through doing various things and it helps to determine how active you are on the site. This is important for when they go to share the ad revenue with the PeopleString users. Remember, PeopleString shares 70% of their ad revenue with us!! Sam created a .pdf document about how to maximize your People Points. It explains five things that you can do to make 50 People Points every 12 hours. To summarize, you earn 10 People Points for completing each of the following tasks: log in, utilize the Google search bar, check your PeopleString e-mail, check the Mailbox-Cashbox section, and visit the Cash Back Shopping section. **Update: You can now do this every six-hour period!
  • People Dollars do have a set cash value. 100 People Dollars = $1.00. There are many things you can do to earn People Dollars, such as taking surveys, signing up for newsletters, and participating in free trial offers. **I set up a separate e-mail address and free voicemail account just for this purpose.

Getting Started

Yesterday, my first day on PeopleString, I earned $.10 for signing up, $.10 for linking my Facebook account with my PeopleString account, and $.63 for taking a short survey about milk...which made me then have a craving for milk! Today, I was only on the site for a short time. I completed two small offers. I earned $.10 for answering some questions about my cell phone and Facebook. I also earned $.15 cents for utilizing a Facebook application - Crazy Dream.
I also have $1.50 pending because I signed up for a program called Mailbox-Cashbox. I answered 30 questions and I'm now waiting on a code to come via the postal service (a.k.a. snail mail). Once I enter the code, I'll receive the $1.50 that's pending.

Mailbox-Cashbox is basically a program that pays you to receive offers from PeopleString's marketing partners. You choose whether you want to receive them through snail mail, e-mail, or both. You also can decide the amount you'd like to receive. I'll have to post about this again after I get my code and receive some offers so that I can accurately explain how it all works. By the way, this is the program that pays you $.50 for each person that you get to sign up under you. In order to receive the $.50, your referrals need to not only sign up for PeopleString but also sign up for the Mailbox-Cashbox program.

Signing Up

Today, I joined PeopleString! One of my Facebook friends has mentioned his activity on PeopleString in a few status updates. My curiosity finally got the best of me today so I went to see what it was all about. After reading some basic information about the site, I thought it sounded interesting enough. The idea of earning money by using a social networking site is something I haven't heard of before. PeopleString shares 70% of the revenue they make through ads, searches, and paid placements. I think it's worth trying out. After all, the account is free and, if nothing else, I figure maybe I'll learn something new! My user name is JenniferAlice.
