My First Payment

I received my first payment from PeopleString - $33.81!! You can click on the picture to see a larger view. You can also view Sam's first check! As you know, I joined at the end of March and I earned this check without having any referrals!

If you haven't done so already, check PeopleString out for yourself. Membership is free and they actually pay you to use their site by sharing 70% of their ad revenue with their users! I made it my home page so I'd remember to use it to do Google searches, access my frequently visited sites, and shop online (cash-back shopping). You can also do surveys and offers to earn money. Use it a lot or a little. Either way, you're earning money you wouldn't have earned otherwise.

As you can tell, I really like PeopleString. Sign up for your FREE account today! If you don't like it, it's no loss. If you do like it, tell your friends. You earn money when they do!

PeopleString - A New Favorite

I shared my blog on Facebook today! Until now, I really haven't talked about PeopleString with my friends because I wanted to look into it before sharing it. I really do enjoy what the String has to offer, though, so I'm hoping some of my friends will like it too.

Also, I finally edited my Favorites section. I have already been using PeopleString as my home page. Now that I am setting up all of my frequently accessed sites under the Favorites section, it has become a portal to more than just social networking sites and e-mail and instant messaging programs. It's great!

I'm not sure if everyone will have to do this or not but I have to hold down Ctrl when I click on a link in order to open the site in a new window. **Update** As Sam commented, you only have to do this the first time you use a link. After that, it opens in a new window automatically.

People Dollars & Scam Warning

If you want to "make some quick cash," you should check out the People Dollars section on PeopleString. 100 People Dollars are equal to $1 (e.g., if you complete an offer worth 102 People Dollars, you will receive $1.02 in your account). It really can add up fast! There are plenty of free offers, such as surveys, newsletter sign-ups, and games. There are also offers that reward you for enrolling in programs or services that you may already be considering, such as credit monitoring and satellite TV. If you're looking to purchase something, click on the shopping tab and earn People Dollars by spending a certain amount of money on a retailer's site (make sure to compare the offers to the rebates in the Cash-Back Shopping section). So definitely stop by the People Dollars section to see what's there! **I set up a junk e-mail address and a free voicemail account just for use when completing the offers. ;o)

The offers for People Dollars are NOT managed by PeopleString. The offers are operated through a 3rd party affiliation that generates the offers from all over the Internet. PeopleString simply aggregates them to one location in order for you to find them more easily.

If you do not receive People Dollars after completing an offer, allow some time for the offer to be processed. If you still do not receive your People Dollars, contact Offer Pal for assistance. There is a link in the section ("Missing People Dollars?") that you can utilize to report a problem. If you do not see your offer listed there, send an e-mail to support@offerpal.com.

Most offers pay within seconds of completion; however, different offers have different posting times and they are typically listed along with the offer. So far, I have only encountered missing People Dollars with a couple of quiz and game offers. When I complete one of those offers, I take a screen shot of the "results" page just in case I need to prove that I did it. With most offers, you will receive some sort of e-mail confirmation.

SCAM WARNING: There are a few links posted to get people to BUY People Dollars. You will see them listed amongst the offers and on the top of the People Dollars section. They charge more than the People Dollars are worth. I believe they are there to catch people that don't understand what People Dollars are. There is NO reason for someone to BUY People Dollars, especially at the rate they are charging! You EARN People Dollars in order to convert them into money! If someone wants to call anything a scam, this should be it...and this has nothing to do with PeopleString.

Free or "E"?

If you're thinking about trying out PeopleString, I'd suggest watching THIS video. It explains the different ways you can use the site, such as for use as a portal to your other social networking sites and/or as a way to make some extra money here and there.

I also suggest watching THIS video about why someone would choose the entrepreneur program over the free membership. I thought it covered the benefits fairly well and made logical comparisons of the two membership options.

To "E" or not to "E"...that is the question. ;o)

**Update: The entrepreneur program is no longer open. You can still join today as a free member!

One Week

As of yesterday, I have one week as a free member of PeopleString under my belt! Can you guess how much I have earned in one week? Including the $1.50 that is pending from the Mailbox-Cashbox program, I have earned $27.17! Plus there are a couple of things I have not yet received People Dollars for. I am pretty excited to see that I have earned that much in JUST ONE WEEK without any referrals or people earning below me. I still haven't done anything that has required me to spend any money out of pocket. Also, on Thursday, I was excited to see that I had already received my first search/ad revenue payment. I haven't been on PeopleString very long but I earned $1.12.

Two of the offers I completed recently paid really well because they were ones where you can try something for a limited time period - "try free for seven days". It's the type of thing where you put a credit card on file in case you decide to stay on as a member after the trial (a.k.a. forget to cancel in time). If you do offers like this, I suggest using your credit card rather than your debit card. Typically, it's easier to dispute charges with a credit card company than with your bank. Also, cancel well before you have to in order to avoid forgetting about it or being "accidentally" charged.
